Interests
I am a Telecommunication and Systems Engineer and I obtained my PhD in Neurosciences at the Medical School of the University of Barcelona. My research focuses on the application of structural and functional MRI analysis techniques to study human brain. I enjoy being part of interdisciplinary research, where the use of advanced image processing methods becomes a useful tool towards the understanding of cognitive neuroscience and its clinical applications. As far, my research has covered the study of structure and function in the healthy human brain, as well as the study of brain alterations in aging, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease or Traumatic Brain Injury.
