Esten Leonardsen

MSc

I am currently working as a PhD student for the UiO:LifeScience convergence environment 4ment. My project is on utilizing machine learning techniques to further our understanding of the biology underlying complex mental disorders. While this in general revolves around predictive modelling, I am particularly interested in explaining artificial intelligence, and techniques for understanding the models and the data.

Interests:

  • Deep learning
  • Computer vision
  • Neuroimaging
  • Genetics
  • Personalized medicine

Background:

  • BSc in Computer Science: Algorithms and networks, UiO 2014
  • MSc in Computer Science: Algorithms and networks, UiO 2016
